Franz Liszt war Synästhetiker - also ein Mensch mit der Gabe Farbe und Musik verknüpft wahrzunehmen. Er sah bestimmte Farben zu Klängen und beschrieb die Musik in diesem Sinne.

Im Zuge dieses Portraits wurde ein "Triptychon in Blau" gemalt, dass ebenfalls den Komponisten und Pianisten Franz Liszt in das künstlerische Zentrum stellt, welches im Lisztzentrum Raiding nach Ankauf des Landes Burgenland seinen Platz gefunden hat.
