The cycle " 3 x Ma (h) ler" is dedicated, among other things, to the Attersee: it was the home and artistic refuge of artists such as Gustav Klimt, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Hugo Wolf, Friedrich Gulda or Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Gustav Mahler composed the second and third symphonies here. Klimt captured the Attersee landscape on canvas: the sparkle of the water, the fleetingness of the colors and shadows, the changing light. 
The image shows a shore at the Attersee - in autumn. In the middle of the houses, in the center, a red wooden boathouse in Scandinavian style, the only one around the Attersee.Extraordinary!
